JOB PURPOSE:

Tyre Engineering & Process

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

    1.TYRE ENGINEERING  & PROCESS TECHNOLOGY FOR PCR & 2W TYRE LINE

  1. Responsible for all technical and process related responsibilities  in tyre building
  2. Responsible for all the product related improvements in terms of specification establishment and tuning to meet the customer, efficiency  & cost requirements
  3. Responsible for all the tyre engineering activities -specifications tuning ,standardisation , technical economy projects ,claim improvement, cut section rating ,tyre weight variation  etc.,
  4. New equipment commissioning, equipment improvements ,cycle time improvement in tyre building ,stock preparation, curing and uniformity m/c.
  5. Process  & Product trouble shooting
  6. Tyre defect improvement
  7. Overall scrap improvement
  8. Uniformity and balancing improvement
  9. Supporting New product industrialisation in pilot run
  10. Supporting Curing process improvement
  11. Supporting OEM development, audit and OE complaints
  12. Establish systems and SOPs in in tyre building and other process areas
  13. PFMEA,Control plan,SOP etc., preparation
  14. New technology process and equipment introduction
  15. Skill building of repartees both Asst.Managers and associates
  16. Drive productivity and quality  improvement projects
  17. PDCA approach to continual improvement for Productivity, Quality, waste reduction etc.
  18. New process system development and establishing SOP, incorporation of its requirements in SAP.

    2.PROCESS  & PRODUCT:

  1. Optimize the use of existing material / alternate material for Product benefit
  2. Analyse product failure due to product/process and initiate improvement measures
  3. Generate quality improvement projects to improve the product performance and process efficiencies
  4. PDCA approach to continual improvement and system development

    3. OE, TECHNICAL & QUALITY TASKS:

  1. Basic knowledge on Statistical knowledge for Data analysis.
  2. Good knowledge of OEM requirements and system
  3. Documentations w.r.t OE Customers, execution towards requirements.
  4. OE Customer visit and Audit handling during new product introduction.

QUALIFICATION

B.E. Mechanical / B.Tech ( Rubber Technology) /Other equivalent

EXPERIENCE

 8 to 12 years of experience in PCR with similar experience

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

(IF ANY)

ESSENTIAL 

  • Tyre Engineering and Tyre Building process skills
  • Knowledge on DFMEA / PFMEA / Control Plan
  • SAP / MES /MS office skills

 

DESIRABLE

 

Digital skills

ISO-IATF 16496, Statistical knowledge to interpret data, PDCA, Improvement projects , system.
