Senior Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Draftsman to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in translating electrical designs and specifications into detailed technical drawings. The Electrical Draftsman will collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Draft Electrical Designs:
   • Create detailed electrical drawings and schematics based on project requirements.
   • Interpret and implement electrical design specifications provided by engineers.
2. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with electrical engineers and project managers to understand project goals and requirements.
   • Collaborate with other draftsmen and professionals to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems.
3. Compliance:
   • Ensure that electrical drawings adhere to relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
   • Review and update drawings to reflect any design changes or modifications.
4. Software Proficiency:
   • Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create and modify electrical drawings.
   • Stay updated on the latest software tools and technologies relevant to electrical drafting.
5. Documentation:
   • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
   • Keep accurate records of revisions and updates to electrical drawings.
6. Quality Control:
   • Conduct quality checks on completed drawings to verify accuracy and completeness.
   • Address any discrepancies or issues identified during the review process.

Requirements:

1. Education:
   • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
2. Experience:
   • Proven experience as an Electrical Draftsman in a similar role.
   • Familiarity with electrical systems and components.
3. Technical Skills:
   • Proficiency in using CAD software for electrical drafting (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
   • Strong understanding of electrical symbols, diagrams, and schematics.
4. Communication:
   • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
   • Ability to interpret technical information and convey it effectively.
