About Civil & Urban Infrastructure Business: 

KEC’s Civil business focuses on the construction of factories, warehouses, residential buildings, railway stations, metros, and sewage & water treatment plants, and comprises of four verticals –  

A. Infrastructure & Heavy Civil (Metro & Water Projects),  
B. Industrial & Hydrocarbon (Factories) ,  
C. Residential & Public Spaces (Buildings, Commercial Spaces),

JOB DUTIES

  1. Project Management: Manage the finishing phase of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities to ensure timely completion within budget constraints. 

  1. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that finishing work meets specified standards and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any defects or deficiencies. 

  1. Coordination with Subcontractors: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in finishing work, including carpenters, painters, flooring specialists, and interior designers. Ensure that all work is coordinated effectively to avoid conflicts and delays. 

  1. Material Procurement and Management: Procure and manage materials and supplies required for finishing work, including finishes, fixtures, fittings, and decorative elements. Ensure that materials are sourced cost-effectively and in accordance with project specifications. 

  1. Budget Management: Monitor and manage the budget for finishing work, tracking expenses and controlling costs to ensure that projects are completed within budgetary constraints. 

  1. Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding finishing work, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing any concerns or requests, and ensuring client satisfaction. 

  1. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of finishing activities, including progress reports, documentation of changes, and correspondence with stakeholders. Prepare and present reports to management as required. 

  1. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all finishing work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and best practices. Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. 

  1. Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical or logistical challenges that arise during finishing work. Troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize disruption to the project schedule. 

  1. Team Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to finishing teams, including craftsmen, tradespeople, and laborers. Delegate tasks, provide guidance and support, and ensure that work is carried out efficiently and to a high standard. 

  1. Training and Development: Coordinate training and development programs for finishing teams to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team. 

  1. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to finishing work. Stay abreast of any changes or updates to ensure ongoing compliance throughout the project. 

  1. Client Handover and Finalization: Oversee the finalization of finishing work, including client walkthroughs, snagging, and handover processes. Ensure that all finishing work is completed to the satisfaction of the client and that any outstanding issues are resolved promptly.
