JOB PURPOSE:

 Supporting new product development project. Monitor and work of new mold development.

Leading Day to day activities of Tool Room for supporting to NPD, and regular business.

Supervises and routine activities for Tool Room and coordinates activities of the team members engaged in the molding of Rubber/Plastics products, applying knowledge of molding machine set-up, operating techniques, and mold development methods. Using standard processes and continuous improvement, the Supervisor identifies discrepancies in parts and products, documents findings in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring the delivery of world class products. Responsible for managing staffing issues including assigning daily work, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                         KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Heading Tool Room activities for Mold development and Maintenace. (NPD and Existing business)
• Responds to RFQ received from Product engineering.
• Design of molds and Fixtures
• Development Cost estimation
• Mould development from external Mold maker
• Validate and release mould for production.
• Asset management and troubleshooting for existing moulds (Break down, Defect, Rework Reduction)
• Documentation and record
• Training and skill enhancement of team members

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

1. Understanding of Mould design.
2. Able to Calculate cost of Mould from given product drawing.
3. End to end knowledge and experience of Injection mold development (Plastic or Rubber)
4. End to end knowledge and experience of Press tools.
5. Design of molds and Fixtures on 2D and 3D software
6. Suppliers visit and getting work done from Suppliers.
7. Knowledge and skill to overcome challenges on reduction of Moulds Development time.
8. Have some knowledge on machining process required for mold development.
9. Good communication and Negotiation skill
10. Can be able to operate 2D and 3D mold design software, MS office
