External Job Description

Responsibilities :

Supplier Management:

• Drive supplier performance improvement in the areas of schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and quality.

• Monitor and enhance supplier delivery ratings and quality ratings.

• Strengthen relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure long-term reliability.

Procurement & Material Availability:

• Lead end-to-end procurement of raw materials (RM), consumables, and services to ensure 100% material availability with zero line stoppage

• Ensure timely scheduling, order placement, follow-ups, and expediting of critical materials.

Cost Optimization & VAVE:

• Drive SCM cost-saving initiatives through VAVE, strategic sourcing, contract renegotiation, rate optimization, and logistics efficiencies.

• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and waste elimination.

Contract & Commercial Management:

• Oversee negotiation and finalization of service agreements, logistics contracts, and annual rate contracts.

• Ensure compliance with internal commercial guidelines and risk management policies.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain inventory levels within defined norms (inventory days) while ensuring uninterrupted supply.

• Optimize safety stock, reorder levels, and material planning parameters.

Scrap Management:

• Oversee timely scrap disposal and auction processes.

• Ensure adherence to compliance, documentation, and audit requirements for scrap management.

 

Qualification: BE / Btech\

Technical:

• Hands-on experience in preparing and analyzing MIS reports

• SAP / ERP proficiency

Functional:

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all procurement MIS, including daily/weekly inventory and material availability dashboards.

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, contract management, and commercial terms

• Proficiency in inventory planning, MRP, and integrated production planning

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
