Role Overview:
The Assistant Manager – Design will be responsible for engineering and design activities for utility-scale solar power projects. The role involves preparation, review, and coordination of detailed engineering deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution in compliance with technical standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review detailed design and engineering documents for solar PV projects.

Develop layouts including module layout, inverter placement, cable routing, earthing, and SCB locations.

Perform DC and AC system sizing, cable sizing calculations, and loss calculations.

Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural teams for integrated design outputs.

Review vendor drawings and technical submittals for compliance.

Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, codes, and project specifications.

Support procurement team with BOQ preparation and technical clarifications.

Assist site team in resolving design-related queries during execution.

Optimize designs for cost efficiency and performance improvement.

Prepare technical documentation for client submission and approvals.
Qualification & Experience:

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related discipline.

5–8 years of experience in solar PV design and engineering.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, ETAP, or similar design tools.

Strong understanding of solar plant components and grid connectivity requirements.
