Role Overview:
The Assistant Manager – Design will be responsible for engineering and design activities for utility-scale solar power projects. The role involves preparation, review, and coordination of detailed engineering deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution in compliance with technical standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review detailed design and engineering documents for solar PV projects.

  • Develop layouts including module layout, inverter placement, cable routing, earthing, and SCB locations.

  • Perform DC and AC system sizing, cable sizing calculations, and loss calculations.

  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural teams for integrated design outputs.

  • Review vendor drawings and technical submittals for compliance.

  • Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, codes, and project specifications.

  • Support procurement team with BOQ preparation and technical clarifications.

  • Assist site team in resolving design-related queries during execution.

  • Optimize designs for cost efficiency and performance improvement.

  • Prepare technical documentation for client submission and approvals.

Qualification & Experience:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related discipline.

  • 5–8 years of experience in solar PV design and engineering.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, ETAP, or similar design tools.

  • Strong understanding of solar plant components and grid connectivity requirements.
