Position Title: Assistant Manager – Quality
Business Unit: Renewables – Wind
Location: Bhuj, Gujarat
Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager – Quality will be responsible for ensuring implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes at wind project sites. The role involves monitoring site execution quality, conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with approved specifications and standards, maintaining quality documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in project quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Ensure implementation of QA/QC processes and quality plans at the wind project site.

Monitor project execution activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

Conduct inspections of civil, mechanical, and electrical works related to wind project execution.

Identify non-conformities, deviations, and quality issues, and coordinate with execution teams for timely corrective and preventive actions.
2. Site Quality Monitoring

Perform regular site quality inspections and verify workmanship, material quality, and execution standards.

Ensure quality checks are carried out at all critical stages of project execution, including foundations, erection, installation, and commissioning activities.

Monitor adherence to inspection test plans (ITP), method statements, and approved quality procedures.

Coordinate with contractors and site teams to ensure closure of quality observations and punch points.
3. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain all quality-related records, inspection reports, checklists, test certificates, and NCR/observation registers.

Ensure proper documentation for incoming material inspection, stage inspections, final inspections, and project handover quality records.

Support preparation and maintenance of QA/QC reports, audit records, and management review inputs.

Ensure compliance with client quality requirements, project specifications, and organizational quality standards.
4. Coordination with Stakeholders

Work closely with project execution, engineering, procurement, contractors, and client representatives on quality-related matters.

Coordinate with internal quality teams and external inspection agencies, where required.

Participate in quality review meetings and provide updates on quality status, concerns, and corrective actions.
5. Audits & Continuous Improvement

Support internal and external quality audits at project sites and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

Analyze recurring quality issues and suggest improvements in processes, execution practices, and controls.

Promote quality awareness among site teams and contractors to improve overall execution standards.
6. Reporting
-
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports and MIS for management review.

Track NCRs, quality observations, closure status, and key quality metrics for the project.

Report critical quality concerns to project leadership and support timely resolution.
Educational Qualification
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering
-
Certification in QA/QC or quality systems will be an added advantage
Experience
-
6–10 years of relevant experience in quality assurance / quality control for Wind / Renewable / EPC / Power / Infrastructure projects
-
Experience in site quality management, inspections, documentation, and audit handling will be preferred
