Operational
Networks and Hardware Management
- Monitor installation / configuration, operation, maintenance and upkeep of all IT hardware, network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, telecommunications systems and ensure maximum uptime of network
- Oversee the overall capacity utilization of Server/hardware environment ensuring it is optimized to meet business requirements
- To prepare feasibility studies for infrastructure up gradation and support the central team in gathering user requirements / details
Management of Servers and Data Centres
- Accountable for server management, networks (local and wide area networks), all terminals (desktops, laptops, printers, , etc.), databases, storage, backups, and the data centers
- Monitor the disaster recovery setup and enterprise backup schedules and effectively implement the Disaster recovery and backup management plan
Trouble Shooting
- Support the engineering department for instrument connected machine related issue
- Provide user support for technical problems, troubleshooting IT hardware issues, resolution or escalation
- Ensure proper adherence to IT Ticket management systems
- Provide SAP L1 support to all users and ensure that higher level issues are escalated to appropriate authorities and dealt with as per agreed SLA
- Implement continuous improvements in SAP processes in line with changing business needs, statutory and legal compliance
- Support the Core ERP team in development and testing
- Ensure that all user issues are appropriately recorded and user testing is done effectively in support new developments or improvements
- Ensure that all IT issues are effectively logged, tracked and users are constantly updated on the progress of the IT issues logged by them
Vendor Management
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs
- Regularly interact with vendors to ensure follow up and ensure that required service standards are maintained
- Vendor (H/W or S/W) performance is documented and tracked on a regular basis to ensure compliance to the companies IT policy and agreement with vendor
Reporting and Documentation
- Generate reports as requested by the management
- Generate report on the findings after conducting audits on the life IT Assets
