Key Purpose

The position is responsible for ensuring product quality compliance to defined process standards through effective monitoring, control, and improvement of manufacturing and customer-facing quality systems. The role drives reduction of defects, rework, customer complaints, and cost of poor quality while ensuring timely corrective actions, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement across plant operations.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Reduce rejection, rework, and stock discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely closure of customer complaints and OEM concerns.
  • Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Ensure effective execution of process, product, and customer audits.
  • Drive implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide accurate and timely quality performance reporting to management.
  • Improve customer scorecards and OEM quality ratings.
  • Ensure timely closure of PPAP and customer-specific quality requirements.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

Operations & Quality Improvement

  • Support shift quality teams in maintaining process and product quality.
  • Implement and strengthen Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) systems.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions for internal defects, OEM rejections, and customer complaints.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance.

Customer & OEM Quality Management

  • Act as the primary quality interface for OEM customers.
  • Analyze customer complaints, identify root causes, and ensure effective closure.
  • Participate in customer reviews, audits, and quality discussions.
  • Resolve customer quality concerns and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer scorecards and drive improvement actions.

PPAP & Customer Requirements

  • Lead PPAP submissions and approvals as per customer requirements and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to customer-specific quality standards and portal requirements.

MIS, Compliance & Documentation

  • Prepare and review quality reports, trend analyses, and improvement recommendations.
  • Monitor quality performance, complaint trends, market feedback, and claims data using digital solutions.
