About Power Transmission & Distribution Business.
With over seven decdes of experience in the industry, KEC is aglobal leader in the power Transmission & DistributionEPC space. This is the largest business vertical of the company.
 
The company has capabilities to design, manufacture, test, supply and Erect transmission lines on turnkey basis up to 1,200 KV, along with end-to-end solutions for underground HT and EHV cabling works. The company also executes turney EPC projects that involve High Voltage Electrical Switching and Distribution Substations across the globe. Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies to optimize project and asset procurement, ensuring cost savings and timely delivery.
  • Vendor Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with a diverse vendor base, negotiating favorable contracts and ensuring compliance with KEC standards.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and improve procurement systems and processes, identifying and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and transparency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with project teams, engineering, finance, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure seamless procurement support.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Guide and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track key performance indicators, analyze data, and generate insightful reports to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and demonstrate value.
  • Drilling Rig Management: Oversee the procurement, allocation, and performance of drilling rigs, ensuring optimal utilization and adherence to productivity targets.
  • Steel Rebar Optimization: Implement strategies to minimize steel wastage, optimize inventory levels, and ensure timely procurement of steel rebar for projects.
  • Digital Initiatives: Embrace and leverage digital tools and technologies to streamline procurement processes, enhance data analysis, and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a procurement leadership role within the EPC industry, specifically with large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Deep understanding of procurement principles, best practices, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
