About Civil & Urban Infrastructure Business: 

KEC’s Civil business focuses on the construction of factories, warehouses, residential buildings, railway stations, metros, and sewage & water treatment plants, and comprises of four verticals –  

A. Infrastructure & Heavy Civil (Metro & Water Projects),
B. Industrial & Hydrocarbon (Factories) ,
C. Residential & Public Spaces (Buildings, Commercial Spaces),
D. Defence (Civil projects in Defence sector).

We provide professional EPC services in an area dominated either by small unorganized players or by very few large companies. With extensive Civil expertise and capabilities built over the years across all our businesses, we are setting benchmarks in speed, quality and safety by bringing in leading technologies, professional project management expertise and intense focus on safety & quality, enabling us to deliver excellence to our clients. The business has established itself as a premier contractor in the industrial segment, especially cement and auto sector.

Currently, we are executing around 20 turnkey EPC projects comprising metros, factories, data centre, townships and residential buildings for a repertoire of clients in sectors such as Metro Rail, Cement, Auto & Auto ancillaries, Metals & Mining, FMCG, Real Estate and Defence, among others.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire: Guide and mentor a team of planning engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
• Orchestrate project success: Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, ensuring alignment with client requirements and KEC's commitment to timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Be a master of analysis and foresight: Conduct meticulous risk assessments, proactively identify potential roadblocks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
• Champion efficiency and cost optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, optimize resource utilization, and achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
• Be a communication catalyst: Facilitate seamless information flow between project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Embrace technology and innovation: Leverage cutting-edge project management tools and methodologies, including SAP, to enhance planning accuracy, track progress, and generate insightful reports.
• Drive a culture of learning: Champion the adoption of e-learning platforms and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a strong academic record.
• Proven experience in a planning and coordination role within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry, specifically within the power transmission and distribution, railways, civil, or solar energy sectors.
• Expertise in project management methodologies, scheduling techniques, and budgeting principles.
• Proficiency in using project management software, particularly SAP, and other relevant digital tools.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
• A deep understanding of contractual agreements, claims management, and risk mitigation strategies within the EPC industry.
• A passion for infrastructure development and a commitment to upholding KEC's values of excellence, sustainability, and innovation.
