In line with the Government’s increased focus on Renewable Energy sector, KEC has made a move to carve out its presence in the Wind energy and Green Hydrogen sector. We are already providing Solar EPC services for large solar PV projects developed by private players and roof-top PV solutions for Industrial and Commercial consumers. JOB DUTIES

Job Summary:

Job Summary: The Civil Engineer - Site Execution will be responsible for overseeing and managing civil engineering activities on-site for the construction of solar energy facilities at the Bhadla site. This role involves ensuring that civil works are executed according to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The Civil Engineer will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

  1. Site Execution and Supervision:
    • Manage daily civil construction activities on-site, ensuring work is completed as per engineering designs and project specifications.
    • Supervise subcontractors, labor teams, and other personnel involved in civil works, providing technical guidance and support.
    • Monitor and report on construction progress, ensuring adherence to project schedules and deadlines.
  2. Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of civil works to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications.
    • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in construction activities, implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Review and approve construction materials and methods to ensure they meet project requirements.
  3. Coordination and Communication:
    • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution of civil works and integration with other project components.
    • Communicate effectively with site teams to address any issues, changes, or updates related to civil construction activities.
    • Prepare and submit progress reports, including updates on work completed, challenges faced, and any deviations from the plan.
  4. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on-site to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate preventive measures.
    • Ensure all site activities are performed in compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of construction activities, including daily logs, material usage, and any incidents or issues.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on construction progress, quality, and safety performance to management.
  6. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
    • Address and resolve on-site issues related to civil engineering work, including design changes, material shortages, or construction challenges.
    • Work closely with the project team to find solutions and ensure minimal disruption to the project timeline.

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on site execution and construction management. Experience in the solar industry or large-scale construction projects is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and quality control practices. Familiarity with solar project requirements is a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to site management.
