About Power Transmission & Distribution Business.

With over seven decdes of experience in the industry, KEC is aglobal leader in the power Transmission & DistributionEPC space. This is the largest business vertical of the company.

The company has capabilities to design, manufacture, test, supply and Erect transmission lines on turnkey basis up to 1,200 KV, along with end-to-end solutions for underground HT and EHV cabling works. The company also executes turney EPC projects that involve High Voltage Electrical Switching and Distribution Substations across the globe. Responsibilities

• You will design and develop civil engineering plans for substation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• We expect you to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers and project managers to align on project objectives and timelines.
• You shall conduct site assessments to evaluate environmental impact and feasibility of proposed construction sites for substations.
• We require you to prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for civil works related to substations, optimizing resource allocation while maintaining quality standards.
• You will oversee the implementation of civil engineering solutions during construction phases, ensuring accuracy and safety in execution.
• We expect you to provide technical guidance and support to on-site construction personnel, facilitating problem-solving and innovation in real-time.
• You shall ensure all civil infrastructure within the substation is maintained properly post-construction, conducting regular inspections and necessary repairs.
• We count on you to document and report on project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Requirements

• You should demonstrate proficiency in designing civil structures for electrical substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• We expect you to have a strong capability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil design requirements into overall substation projects.
• Your role requires you to conduct site assessments and surveys to determine optimal locations and construction methods for substation infrastructure.
• You must be adept at utilizing CAD software and other relevant tools to create detailed civil engineering drawings and models.
• We need you to manage project timelines effectively, overseeing the civil construction aspects of substation projects from inception through completion.
• Your responsibility includes preparing detailed specifications and cost estimates for civil works related to substations.
• You should have expertise in analyzing geological data and environmental reports to inform substation construction planning.
• We look for your ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site construction challenges, ensuring that all civil engineering activities align with project goals.
