About Power Transmission & Distribution Business.

With over seven decdes of experience in the industry, KEC is aglobal leader in the power Transmission & DistributionEPC space. This is the largest business vertical of the company.

The company has capabilities to design, manufacture, test, supply and Erect transmission lines on turnkey basis up to 1,200 KV, along with end-to-end solutions for underground HT and EHV cabling works. The company also executes turney EPC projects that involve High Voltage Electrical Switching and Distribution Substations across the globe. Responsibilities

• You shall lead the design and development of civil engineering projects related to substations, ensuring they meet industry standards and client specifications.
• We expect you to collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, project managers, and construction crews to deliver integrated solutions.
• You will oversee the preparation of detailed technical drawings and documents for substation projects, using computer-aided design software as necessary.
• You shall conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards during all phases of the project.
• We expect you to manage project timelines effectively, ensuring that milestones are met within budgetary constraints.
• You will provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• You shall liaise with external stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth project execution.
• We expect you to continuously evaluate and implement innovative techniques and materials to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of substation construction projects.

Requirements

• You must have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles as they apply to substation design and construction.
• We expect you to be proficient in the use of industry-standard software for civil engineering designs like AutoCAD or equivalent tools.
• Your role entails leading civil project teams, requiring exceptional leadership and mentorship skills.
• You should have expertise in designing foundations, structures, and site layouts specific to electrical substations.
• We require your ability to effectively coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including electrical engineers and project managers.
• You are expected to conduct thorough site assessments and risk analyses to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• The position demands proficiency in managing budgets and resources efficiently for large-scale civil projects.
• You will need excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and present technical information clearly.
