Manager - Projects

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the civil engineering and construction aspects of a large-scale (500 MW) solar power project from concept through commissioning, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost optimization in line with company goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:Project Execution & Management:

Lead execution of civil engineering works related to utility-scale solar projects (500 MW+).

Prepare project execution plans, schedules (MSP/Primavera), and resource allocation strategies.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, electrical, and O&M teams.

Civil Design & Construction Oversight:

Review and approve civil engineering drawings, layouts, and BOQs for site grading, roads, drainage, foundations, control buildings, etc.

Monitor on-site construction activities to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.

Ensure that all civil works comply with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Vendor & Contractor Management:

Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to deliver milestones.

Conduct technical evaluations, contract reviews, and tender support for civil-related scopes.

Monitor contractor performance and ensure corrective actions as needed.

Quality, HSE & Compliance:

Implement QA/QC procedures and ensure HSE standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Liaise with statutory authorities for approvals, clearances, and inspections.

Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination:

Generate regular progress reports, budget utilization updates, and risk mitigation plans.

Act as a key point of contact for project stakeholders including internal leadership, EPC vendors, and government bodies.
