Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)

 

KEYPERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Manpower numbers and budgets
  • Reduction in attrition rate %
  • Maintain the diversity ratio as per target
  • Compliance adherence as per compliance checklist.

KEY ACTIVITIES  & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

Strategic Tasks

  • Ensure implementation of HR Policies, Process and systems for Chennai plant in alignment with other plants/ corporate guidelines.
  • Co-ordination for Career development discussion and succession planning for key positions
  • Be proximate to the business – both line managers and employees, in order to

understand their issues and prepare HR actions to address them.

  • Responsible for Organisation Management review process. (Employee life cycle management)

 

Talent Acquisition

  • Responsible for Talent life cycle management for Chennai Plant in co-ordination with corporate and department head.
  • Handling onboarding of Managers and Temp staff.
  • Supervise and manage all operational activities related to Talent Acquisition
  • Ensure that recruitment targets are met with regards to timelines, quality and compliance to corporate recruitment policy

 

Compensation and Benefit Administration

  • On time processing of employee’s attendance, deduction, reimbursement, claims etc…and handling employee queries related to payment, bonus, incentives etc…
  • Support in calculation of variable pay for Associates as per the performance matrix and policy.
  • Design and implementation of associate C&B (wages revision) with in the agreed timeline.

 

Liasoning and Compliance

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues
  • Engage with business to understand employee engagement related issues and concerns and provide inputs to the management
  • Review the exit analysis reports, and suggest corrective actions on any concerns that are highlighted
  • Coordinate for GPTW/RPG Happiness Survey and monitor the action plan

 

Grievance Handling

  • Ensure and form a committee for proper redressal of issues and concerns raised by associates
  • Design a systematic process for addressing issues, from raising of an issue, investigation, until punishment
  • Ensure overall transparency within the procedures followed by the team, to ensure satisfaction among associates
  • Ensure proper handling of daily complaints received from the associates
  • Ensure accurate record maintenance and MIS of “BolBindaas”

 

Employer Brand Building

  • Engage in CEAT branding programs at colleges and institutions for spreading awareness and reaching out to potential candidates for the Associate position
  • Engage in college lectures to ensure that potential candidates shall be fully aware of the details of the associate program
  • Ensure effective communication of the Ceat Employee Value proposition in all forums including social media

Ensure effective management of social media interactions with the associates where success s44tories of associates shall be shared, to empower and motivate the SMTs

 

 

Education and Experience Required

Education:

MBA (HR)/MSW

Experience:

7-10 years in Manufacturing industry
