Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand KEC's footprint in the Water and Heavy Civil sectors, with a focus on Irrigation, Industrial Water, and Marine projects.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities through a proactive approach that includes building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including Engineering Consultants, potential clients, and industry partners.
  • Lead the development and submission of competitive bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with KEC's strategic objectives and profitability targets.
  • Drive the acquisition of pre-qualification (PQ) requirements for large-scale projects, identifying and addressing any gaps to enhance KEC's competitiveness.
  • Champion the expansion into new geographic territories within India, contributing to KEC's nationwide growth.
  • Cultivate a high-performing business development team by providing guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance capabilities and drive individual growth.
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment that aligns with KEC's core values and promotes employee satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in business development within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry, with a strong focus on Water and Heavy Civil projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian infrastructure market, particularly within the Water and Heavy Civil sectors.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
