Job Description: AI & Automation Engineer

Location: Thane/Mumbai

Experience: 4–6 Years

Qualification: B.Tech in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Technology

1. Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and analytics workflows with Azure and modern platforms.
• Develop robust ETL/ELT processes for high data quality and availability.
• Create backend integrations and APIs for efficient data flow.
• Deliver AI/ML, Generative AI, and automation solutions for business needs.
• Automate data processing and reporting to boost efficiency.
• Lead Industry 4.0 initiatives, integrating shopfloor and IoT data.
• Collaborate with teams and vendors for scalable solution delivery.
• Debug, monitor, and optimise data pipelines and backend systems.

AI/ML Solution Ownership & MLOps:

• Own and monitor deployed AI/ML models and automation solutions.
• Track model performance, accuracy, drift, and reliability.
• Drive model retraining, fine-tuning, and improvements with partners.
• Manage deployment pipelines, versioning, and rollback.
• Implement MLOps best practices:
• Model lifecycle management
• Performance monitoring and logging
• Data and model version control
• Ensure production stability and enhancement

2. Skills & Qualifications

• 4–6 years' experience in data engineering, backend, or analytics engineering
• Hands-on with Databricks, Azure, AWS data services
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Expertise in data pipelines, ETL, and integrations
• Experience with APIs and REST-based integrations
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with AI/ML workflows and model management
• Working knowledge of MLOps
• Power Apps/Power Platform experience is a plus

3. Added Advantages

• Experience with Power BI or reporting tools
• Hands-on with Azure Data Factory/AWS or similar tools
• Hands-on experience with RPA tools like Power Automate, UiPath
• Exposure to MLOps tools/frameworks
• Industry 4.0/IoT integration experience
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• UI/UX understanding for business apps
• Exposure to rapid AI led prototyping and development tools like Replit, N8N, Cursor, Lovable
• Hands-on experience with Copilot Studio, Notebook.lm, etc.

4. Certifications

Mandatory:

• PCAP – Certified Associate in Python Programming

Preferred:

• Azure / AWS / GCP certifications
• AI/ML, MLOps/model deployment, automation tools certifications or exposure

5. Cybersecurity & Governance

• Knowledge of Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
• Understanding of data privacy and access control
• IT-OT integration concepts (advantageous)
• Basic familiarity with NIST guidelines
