Planning Engineer – Wind Projects

Location: Bhuj, Gujarat
Business: Renewables – Wind Projects
Department: Project Planning & Execution

Job Purpose

To plan, monitor, and control project schedules for wind power projects, ensuring timely execution through effective planning, progress monitoring, resource coordination, and reporting while supporting the successful completion of projects within budget and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
  • Prepare project baselines, work breakdown structures (WBS), and execution plans.
  • Monitor project progress against planned schedules and identify schedule variances.
  • Coordinate with Project, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Procurement, Quality, and EHS teams to ensure timely execution of activities.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and MIS for management review.
  • Track engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities to ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Analyze critical path activities and recommend corrective actions to mitigate project delays.
  • Monitor resource utilization, productivity, and project milestones.
  • Assist in project forecasting, catch-up plans, recovery schedules, and delay analysis.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, progress records, and planning reports.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide planning inputs to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and project planning standards.

Educational Qualification

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.

Experience

  • 3–8 years of experience in Planning & Project Controls within Wind, Renewable Energy, EPC, Power, Infrastructure, or Industrial Projects.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling of Wind Power Projects will be preferred.
