Summary:

Work under Design Manager and prepare the variety of Drawings in BIM/CAD design/drafting activities group including preparing/updating installation drawings for projects on MEP -Electrical, ELV & ICT) etc., Family creation in BIM, LOD 400 Modelling, Scheduling workload distribution within the BIM/CAD department.

Key Skills

 

  1. Should have expert level of knowledge related to Electrical, ELV & ICT Services for generation of Drawings.
  2. Should have knowledge of Standard procedure of Working in CAD and BIM.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in BIM/CAD software’s, BIM/CAD Standards and Guidelines, Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  4. Able to extract quantity from BIM/Revit drawing and prepare the BOQ.
  5. Able to generate clashes report and provide clash free model after coordination with different discipline.
  6. Ability to interact with customers, manager, engineers, other CAD people and other employees to resolve Drawings related issues.
  7. Good verbal communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills
  8. Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment especially with MEP designers and coordinating with other Architectural, Structural and Civil Designers and Modelers
  9. Comprehensive understanding of EHS and Quality standards and requirements.
  10. Able to handle multiple projects and tender simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Detail Engineering:

  1. Prepare layout Plans, schematic, conceptual, detailed dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings in AutoCad and in BIM as per project requirement.
  2. Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, to ensure consistent documentation of the project.
  3. Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation if service is requested by the Design Engineer or Design Manager.
  4. Work on guidelines for CAD drawings which meet and exceed the customer’s requirements (bid and submittal phase). Implement these requirements on drawings sent to the customer.
  5. Serve as an information source on planning and design of BDA.
  6. Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (like drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and /performance guarantees) for future reference.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third-party items and services database. Review and modify information under supervision of the Engineer In charge. Make data available to application engineers and project managers.
  8. Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings.
  9. Other duties as required relating to CAD database maintenance, PDM, etc.
  10. Extract quantity and prepare the BOQ.

Minimum Qualification:

BE/B. Tech – Electrical with 7 – 12 Years as a BIM & CAD Engineer/ Draughts-person

Revit/ BIM/AutoCAD 2020 above or higher experience preferred
 

Must possess the ability to read and interpret sketches
 

Ability to read construction plans (Architectural, Structural, Civil, MEP)
 

Preferred Qualifications

B.Tech/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering with expertise in BIM/AutoCad.

Ability to lead other drafting technicians

Ability to Develop Drafting and Design Standards

BIM /Revit exposure and experience
