Position: Chief Manager – O&M
Business Unit: Renewables SBU


Job Responsibilities

  • Provide Strategic Leadership: Lead and inspire large, diverse teams comprising KEC and third-party personnel, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance across multiple O&M sites.

  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee end-to-end operations and maintenance of solar plants, ensuring maximum plant availability, performance ratio optimization, and adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.

  • Drive Business Outcomes: Develop and execute O&M strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, contractual compliance, and performance guarantees.

  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage subcontractors, OEMs, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution, cost optimization, and adherence to project specifications.

  • Promote Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies, adopt new technologies, and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

  • Champion Safety & Sustainability: Drive a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainability in all O&M activities, embedding KEC’s QHSE standards across sites.

  • Financial & Resource Management: Monitor budgets, control O&M costs, and ensure effective resource planning, while driving productivity and profitability.

  • Develop Talent: Mentor and groom future leaders, fostering a learning culture through technical training, capability building, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.


Qualifications

  • 12–15 years of proven experience in leading Operations & Maintenance of utility-scale renewable (preferably solar) projects, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Strong technical expertise in solar plant operations, preventive/predictive maintenance, and plant performance optimization.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-location teams and complex stakeholder relationships.

  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and leadership skills with a customer-centric approach.

  • Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract management.

  • Deep commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
