About Transportation Business:

 

KEC is an integrated player in the Transportation EPC industry, providing complete turnkey solutions for all types of railway contracts. The Company has integrated backwards to manufacture contact & catenary conductors, signaling cables as well as galvanized steel structures for Transportation. It has the capacity to manufacture 48,000 MTPA of railway structures.

Job Description

Position: Manager – Commercial

Grade: M1

Location: Gurugram (GGN)

Business: Railways

Role Purpose

The role is responsible for managing commercial and contractual activities for Railway projects, including billing, vendor management, contract administration, cost monitoring, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth commercial operations and compliance with organizational policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end commercial activities for Railway projects, including client billing, vendor billing, and payment tracking.
  • Monitor project costs, budget utilization, and commercial performance to ensure effective cost control.
  • Handle contract administration activities including review of contractual terms, amendments, variations, and claims management.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, project execution, and site teams for smooth commercial operations.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of invoices, running bills, and supporting commercial documentation.
  • Track receivables and coordinate with clients for timely collections and resolution of commercial issues.
  • Review vendor quotations, rate analysis, and comparative statements for commercial evaluation.
  • Support tendering and estimation activities by providing commercial inputs and cost-related analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, taxation requirements, statutory regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare MIS reports, commercial trackers, and management presentations for project and leadership reviews.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure closure of commercial and contractual matters within defined timelines.
  • Support audits and maintain proper documentation related to contracts, billing, and commercial transactions.
