In line with the Government’s increased focus on Renewable Energy sector, KEC has made a move to carve out its presence in the Wind energy and Green Hydrogen sector. JOB DUTIES

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team overseeing a large-scale solar project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe working environment.

EHS Program Management:

  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures specific to solar project operations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and evaluate workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.

Training and Awareness:

  • Coordinate and conduct EHS training sessions for project staff and contractors.
  • Promote a safety-conscious culture through awareness campaigns and continuous education.

Incident Management:

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports and implement corrective/preventive measures.
  • Maintain incident records and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities as per regulatory requirements.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay updated with local, state, and federal EHS regulations applicable to solar projects.
  • Ensure project operations adhere to all relevant environmental and safety laws and standards.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of emergency protocols.

Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend controls to minimize EHS risks.
  • Work closely with project management to integrate EHS considerations into project planning and execution.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and reports.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders.

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in EHS management within the renewable energy sector, with specific experience in solar projects highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards applicable to construction and operation of solar facilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex EHS issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
