Senior Officer - EHS

Job Summary:The Senior EHS Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all Environment, Health, and Safety protocols are effectively implemented and maintained across the solar project site(s). This role involves conducting site inspections, managing risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of safety among employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor project-specific EHS plans in line with organizational and statutory requirements.

Conduct regular EHS audits, safety walks, and inspections at the project site.

Carry out hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and ensure control measures are in place.

Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental and safety regulations including those of CPCB, SPCB, and other regulatory bodies.

Organize and lead toolbox talks, safety drills, and EHS training programs for workers and site staff.

Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

Maintain site-specific EHS documentation including incident reports, inspection checklists, and compliance records.

Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to the EHS guidelines.

Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies for inspections, approvals, and documentation as needed.

Lead and participate in EHS performance review meetings and provide monthly reports to senior management.
