Assistant Manager - Process Engineering

External Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:    

This position is responsible for establishing the process standards for polymer processing. The position is expected to deliver, establishment of process standards, Improvements in current processes, process trials, cost reduction through continuous improvement, assisting the engineering team in the introduction of mew products, conducting trainings and process audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES& PERFORMANCE AREAS:   
•Process trails and validation.
•Establishment of process standards, WI preparation, On – Job training.
•Reduction in overall COPQ and conversion cost.
•No. of Projects (Kaizen, Low-cost automation & Poka-yoke).
•Equipment Scope definition for new equipment/ machinery procurement.
•Effective change management, for alternative materials/grades. Implementation of design changes with proper validation.
•Provide timely assistance and trouble shooting for in-house process related issues.
•Conduct time studies, for resource optimization.
•Conduct PFMEA and improving the process reliability by implementing Kaizen / Pok-yoke.
•Effective implementation of Business excellence initiatives for the function.

REQUIREMENTS:

•Good understanding of Polymer processing (compounding, Extrusion, Injection molding)
•Good in written and verbal communication skills.
•Good analytical thinking.
•Proficiency in MS- Excel, Word, Power point.
•Knowledge of Lean / Industrial engineering.
•Should be able to drive, CFT’s.
•Preferably should have knowledge in AutoCAD
