Position Title: Head – Plant Quality / Division Manager / DGM – QA
Function: Quality & Business Excellence
Organization: Raychem RPG
Location: Halol, India
Purpose
To lead and enhance the Quality function at the Halol plant, driving a Zero Defect culture across production and processes. Ensure robust systems for customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and total quality management in alignment with the organization’s excellence roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve Zero Customer Complaints by implementing preventive quality systems, prompt complaint resolution, and minimizing internal rejections.
Ensure successful completion of customer and third-party audits for product and plant approvals.
Drive “Built-in Quality” through process validation, control, and proactive issue elimination.
Establish and sustain Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) with zero major nonconformance.
Deploy quality planning tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) in product and process development.
Promote continuous improvement through TPM, Business Excellence initiatives, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Strengthen supplier quality systems and drive vendor capability enhancement.
Support business objectives—on-time delivery, sales growth (~₹1000 Cr), and cost optimization (COPQ <1%).
Build quality capabilities through training, forums (Kaizen, 5S, Quality Month), and career path initiatives.
Key Interfaces
Internal: QBE Head, Operations, Production, Engineering, SCM, SQA, Business Excellence, Sales & HR.
External: Customers (inspections, audits, complaints), Certification & NABL bodies, Consultants, and SMEs.
Reporting: GM – Head QBE (Direct); GM – Operations, Halol (Dotted).

Supervision
Direct Reports: 5 (1 Manager, 3 Deputy Managers, 1 Assistant Manager)
Indirect Reports: 182 (21 Executives, 12 Permanent SMTs, 149 Contract Operators)
Key Challenges
Sustaining robust QA systems and continuous improvement culture
Preventing repeat complaints through effective root cause analysis
Managing new product validations before market launch
Qualification & Experience
Education: B.E. (Electrical/Mechanical/Production); MBA/M.Tech preferred
Experience: Minimum 18 years in Quality Management for manufacturing industries (Industrial Electrical, Automotive, or Component sectors).
Skills & Knowledge
Proficiency in QA tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 7QC, QA Matrix
Strong command over ISO/IATF standards; Certified Internal Auditor preferred
Experience in TQM, Six Sigma (Black Belt desirable)
Excellent stakeholder management from suppliers to customers
Strong leadership, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills
