- Define and institute systems and procedures for managing EHS across the company.
- Implementation of Behavior Based Safety Management System in the Plant.
- Ensure compliance with all EHS regulatory requirements and the Company standards.
- Assess risk associated with business processes, manufacturing processes/plants and act to minimize risks.
- Provide specialized EHS expertise and assist in developing location knowledge of EHS regulations and corporate standards.
- Define, obtain, and coordinate necessary EHS reports, communications and EHS self-assessments for the location.
- Reduce environmental impact by reduction in water, fuel and power consumption
- Liaise with statutory authorities such as DISH, MPCB, PESO, and Local Governing Bodies.
- Responsible for sustenance of IMS (ISO14001 & ISO 45001) Certification in the Plant and act as Management Representative for IMS
- Design Annual EHS Training Calendar & training modules and conduct training programs for workforce
- Investigation of Accidents/Incidents and horizontal deployment of Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Implementation of British Safety Councils Five Star Health & Safety Management System in the Plant.

- EHS Risk assessment skill (Master)
(Identifies potential areas of risk and conducts effective survey of plant; knowledge of safety layouts and norms)
- Knowledge of EHS performance indicators/data (Master)
(Able to identify measures and collate data into periodic reports; knowledge of EHS performance monitoring and reporting)
- Knowledge of and experience in EHS Legal compliance monitoring and reporting (Master)
(Experience with EHS management systems and auditing; reviewing and interpreting various EHS policies)
- Proficiency in Statutory Regulations (Master)
