Job Description – Manager Civil (Wind Project)

Position: Manager – Civil
Location: Bhuj, Gujarat

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Civil to lead and manage all civil construction activities for wind power projects at the Bhuj site. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of civil works related to wind turbine foundations, roads, crane pads, control rooms, and associated infrastructure while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, cost, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all civil construction activities for wind power projects from inception to completion.

• Plan and supervise construction of wind turbine generator (WTG) foundations, internal roads, crane pads, control rooms, and related infrastructure.

• Ensure execution of civil works as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams for smooth project execution.

• Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of civil activities within budget.

• Review construction methodologies, engineering drawings, BOQs, and material requirements.

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards and compliance with project specifications.

• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and construction materials.

• Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

• Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to avoid delays and cost overruns.

• Maintain project documentation, progress reports, and records related to civil execution.

• Ensure strict compliance with EHS policies, statutory regulations, and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

• Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management or Project Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 10–15 years of experience in civil project execution within wind energy, renewable energy, infrastructure, power, EPC, or industrial construction projects.

• Proven experience in managing large-scale civil construction activities at project sites.

• Experience in wind farm projects and WTG foundation construction will be highly preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, structural works, foundation design concepts, and infrastructure development.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents.

• Knowledge of construction planning, resource management, and project scheduling.

• Familiarity with quality control procedures and safety standards applicable to construction projects.

• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
