Role Overview
The Manager – HR Business Partner, Sales will act as a strategic partner to the Sales leadership team, aligning HR initiatives with business priorities. The role will drive people strategy for the Sales organization by partnering with business leaders to improve performance, productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
Reporting to the Sales HR Lead, the HRBP will manage talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, capability building, engagement, and HR operations for the sales workforce of around 500 employees.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
• Partner with Sales leadership including National Sales Head and Regional Business Managers.
• Align HR initiatives with business priorities and sales strategies.
• Support organization design, manpower planning, and workforce optimization.
• Use HR analytics such as attrition, productivity, and engagement to support decision making.
Talent Acquisition
• Manage end-to-end hiring for sales roles including Territory Managers, Area Managers, and Regional Managers.
• Partner with TA teams to ensure timely hiring closures.
• Support onboarding and track recruitment metrics.
Employee Relations
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and company standards.
• Manage documentation and ensure fairness in ER processes.
Performance Management
• Drive goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisal cycles.
• Partner with leaders to address performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
Capability & Engagement
• Identify development needs and partner with L&D for capability building.
• Support career development and succession planning.
• Drive engagement initiatives and analyze attrition trends.
HR Operations
• Ensure implementation of HR policies, compensation programs, and incentives.
• Support payroll inputs, HRIS accuracy, and statutory compliance.
Qualifications
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
Experience
8+ years of HR experience with exposure to HR business partnering for Sales or field teams. Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or similar industries preferred.
