PURPOSE OF THE ROLE                                    
To lead a team of 5 mechanical designers handling Oil filled transformer mechanical design, Should be a team leader to get the required output to meet departmental KPI's                                    
Roles & Responsibilities:

Other Roles/Teams within the Function:    
1.Should be capable of checking drawings prepared by mechanical designers in dept.          
2. Adhere to departmental standardization and help in developing it further with sole aim to reduce time and errors. 3. should be able to do stress / strength & other mechanical calculations for transformer core frames and tanks.               4. study and understand Customer specifications                                                                

Divisions/ Departments OUTSIDE the Function:    
Should be able to co-ordinate with other departments to ensure departmental KPIs are met and maintaining required database. Handling shop floor issues and providing effective solution        
        
External Interface:    
Should be able to connect with Customers & vendors for fast execution of orders & projects     

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS                                    
Education - B.E. Mecanical                            
Relevant Experience - 12-15 Years                                    

KNOWLEDGE:                
Should have through knowledge of Oil filled transformers & it's accessories.
Should have knowledge of mechanical calculations required for transformer core frames and tanks.
Thorough knowledge of internal connections of power transformers & special transformers.                                    Should have knowledge of documentation in line with ISO process,OPLs & Kaizens.
Should have knowledge of relevant IS,IEC Standards.           

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS                
Candidate should have good communications skills.
Should be a team player.                                                       Should be able to handle work pressure
