Job Summary:

The Planning Manager is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. The role involves project planning, progress tracking, resource coordination, cost monitoring, delay analysis, and stakeholder management while ensuring alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements.

Project Planning & Scheduling

- Develop and maintain project master schedules and detailed execution plans.- Establish project baselines, milestones, and critical paths.- Prepare short-term and long-term look-ahead schedules.

Progress Monitoring & Control

- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and targets.- Track actual performance and identify schedule variances.- Recommend corrective and recovery actions to mitigate delays.

Reporting & MIS

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.- Generate schedule dashboards, KPI reports, and management presentations.- Provide timely project status updates to stakeholders.

Cost & Resource Planning

- Support project budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and cost monitoring.- Coordinate resource planning including manpower, equipment, and materials.- Ensure efficient utilization of project resources.

Delay Analysis & Risk Management

- Perform schedule impact assessments and delay analysis.- Identify project risks affecting timelines and propose mitigation measures.- Support claims management and extension of time assessments where applicable.

Stakeholder Coordination

- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.- Facilitate progress review meetings and follow-up on action items.- Ensure alignment between project execution and planning objectives.

Procurement & Contract Support

- Monitor procurement schedules and material delivery timelines.- Support contract administration, billing, and progress certification activities.- Ensure procurement activities align with project schedules.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain planning records, schedules, reports, and project documentation.- Ensure compliance with project controls procedures and contractual requirements.- Support audits and project reviews as required.
