Job Purpose

To ensure implementation and monitoring of quality assurance & quality control activities for Wind Power Projects across all phases including civil, electrical, mechanical, and commissioning activities in compliance with company standards, client requirements, and applicable industry codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project quality plans, inspection test plans (ITP), and quality procedures for wind projects.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, client standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct quality inspections for civil foundations, WTG erection, electrical installations, transmission lines, and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor site quality activities and ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures at project locations.
  • Coordinate with project execution teams, clients, consultants, and vendors for quality-related matters.
  • Conduct internal audits, vendor audits, and quality surveillance activities.
  • Identify non-conformities (NCRs), perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Review material inspection reports, test certificates, calibration records, and quality documentation.
  • Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of quality dossiers to clients.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and prepare periodic MIS reports for management review.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best quality practices across projects.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, HSE requirements, and customer quality expectations.
  • Lead and mentor site quality engineers and inspectors.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering.
  • 8–12 years of experience in QA/QC for Wind Energy / Renewable Projects.
  • Strong understanding of wind project execution activities including WTG erection, civil foundations, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of quality standards, ISO procedures, inspection methodologies, and documentation practices.
  • Experience in handling client inspections and audits.
  • Good communication, coordination, and team management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work at project sites.
