**Job Title: Assistant Manager - Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)** **Location: ** Mumbai (BLT Project) **Job Summary: ** The Assistant Manager for Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) plays a crucial role in supporting and implementing effective EHS programs within the organization. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and to promote a safe and healthy work environment. The Assistant Manager EHS will collaborate with various departments to identify and mitigate risks, conduct training sessions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities: ** 1. **Regulatory Compliance: ** - Stay current with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental, health, and safety. - Assist in the development and implementation of programs to ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations. 2. **Risk Assessment and Mitigation: ** - Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks. - Collaborate with department managers to implement effective control measures. 3. **Training and Awareness: ** - Develop and conduct EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders. - Promote awareness of EHS policies and procedures throughout the organization. 4. **Incident Investigation: ** - Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. - Maintain incident records and prepare reports for management review. 5. **Emergency Preparedness: ** - Develop and maintain emergency response plans. - Conduct drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness for potential emergencies. 6. **Documentation and Reporting: ** - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of EHS activities, inspections, and training. - Prepare and submit regular reports on EHS performance to management. 7. **Collaboration: ** - Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations. - Collaborate with EHS Manager and other stakeholders to drive a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. 8. **Continuous Improvement: ** - Identify opportunities for improvement in EHS processes and programs. - Implement and track initiatives to enhance overall EHS performance. **Qualifications: ** - Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field. - 7 years of relevant experience in EHS management. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs. - Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
