About Cables Business:

KEC is one of the leading manufacturers of power and telecom cables in India. It has two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Vadodara (Gujarat) and Mysore (Karnataka). The manufacturing facilities are accredited with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications.

The Company has a capacity to manufacture around 40,000 KM per annum of power cables, 3600 KM per annum of instrumentation cables, 6 lakh core KM per annum of jelly filled (copper) telecom cables, 6 lakh fibre KM of optical fibre cables, 4000 MTs of Railway Contact Wire and 2000 MTs of Railway Catenary Wire.

KEC entered the cables business by acquiring RPG Cables in 2010. RPG Cables with a rich experience of 6 decades, is one of the oldest and largest, fully integrated cable manufacturers in India. It pioneered the production of XLPE cables in India. It has a diverse clientele across industries including power, oil & gas, steel, engineering, electricity supply, etc.

JOB DUTIES

Job Summary:

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Expert knowledge of Treasury function
  • Cashflow management on daily basis- Forecast & cashflow requirement of the S
  • Knowledge of LC & BG- Both inland & foreign (review draft and highlight onerous clauses, coordinate with Corporate team/Bank to get it issued)
  • Knowledge of vendor/customer - Bill discounting & LC discounting (both inland & foreign)
  • Knowledge of commodity and forex hedging- Booking and accounting there off
  • Ensure the Interest accounting, prepaid interest and BG charges.
  • Coordination with Corporate/Banks for borrowing, EXIM & FEMA compliance, balance confirmation from Bank
  • Vendor payment (inc Bill discounting, RXIL, LC discounting) and reconciliation
  • MIS and reporting to internal management
  • Providing support to internal & statutory audit with respect to treasury function
