Job Summary:

CEAT Tyres Ltd., a premier tire manufacturing company in India, invites applications for the role of Senior Manager - Production Planning and Control (PPC) at our Chennai Plant. This role is pivotal in creating optimum production schedules based on inputs from Central Planning, ensuring maximum capacity utilization of the plant, minimizing operational costs, and enhancing the PPC and FGS teams' capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and refine production schedules in alignment with central planning inputs to ensure optimal plant capacity utilization and meet dispatch requirements efficiently.
• Drive committed delivery to customers by maintaining high levels of CLIP (Compliance of Line Items Percentage), ensuring customer commitments are met or exceeded.
• Lead initiatives to reduce the inventory of non-moving tires in FGS, aiming at significant cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PPC and FGS teams through effective leadership in quality improvement projects and Kaizen initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the supply chain management, quality control, central planning, and other departments to ensure cohesive operational strategies and execution.
• Use data analytics, market insights, and supply chain dynamics to adjust production planning proactively and prepare for future requirements.
• Promote a safety-first culture, prioritizing quality, and productivity, in line with company standards and compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably including stints in Production Planning & Control. Experience in Manufacturing/Production is desirable
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office suite.
