Job Purpose
The Deputy Manager, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) at the Vasai Plant is essential to ensure the continuous enhancement and maintenance of a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role is crucial for implementing and sustaining the company's EHS policies, standards, and procedures. The Deputy Manager will assist in managing all EHS-related activities, providing leadership in risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and incident prevention. He will also play a vital role in promoting a culture of safety and sustainability, which is critical to the operational success and integrity of the Vasai Plant.

Qualification

•Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
•Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety & Health 
•Diploma in Environment Management

Key Responsibilities
•Risk Assessment & Environment Aspect & Impact:
•Ensure employees are trained and activities are conducted according to Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Environmental Aspect and Impact (EAI) assessments.
•Oversee the development and implementation of HIRA and EAI processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the environment and personnel.
•Influencing EHS Culture:
•Engage employees through Safety Committee Meetings, Toolbox Talks, Trainings, EHS Celebrations, and Competitions to foster a proactive safety culture.
•Promote regular communication and participation in EHS initiatives to instill a culture of safety and accountability.
•Monitoring:
•Conduct frequent Shop Tours to assess EHS performance and identify areas for improvement.
•Review Unsafe Acts (UAs) and Unsafe Conditions (UCs), Action Plans, and External Monitoring Reports to ensure compliance and effectiveness of EHS measures.
•Investigation:
•Lead investigations into incidents and unsafe behaviors to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
•Analyze incident data to identify trends and develop strategies for prevention.
•EHS Trainings:
•Identify training needs and develop a comprehensive Training Plan to address EHS requirements.
•Ensure that all employees receive appropriate EHS training and maintain training records.
•Management:
•Manage resources effectively by assigning the right personnel to appropriate roles.
•Provide leadership and support to the EHS team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
•Regulatory Compliance:
•Establish and maintain a Legal Register to track regulatory requirements.
•Collaborate with Plant Head and relevant stakeholders to ensure 100% compliance with legal obligations.
•Emergency Management:
•Develop and maintain an On-Site Emergency Plan to address potential emergencies.
•Conduct regular Mock Drills to test emergency response procedures and ensure readiness.
•Coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders to enhance emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
