Senior Engineer - EHS

Job Purpose

To ensure implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices across Wind Power Project sites and maintain compliance with statutory regulations, company standards, and client safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards at wind project sites.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, permit systems, and client EHS requirements.
• Monitor safe execution of activities related to WTG erection, lifting operations, electrical works, civil works, and commissioning.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, mock drills, and awareness programs for site personnel and contractors.
• Identify unsafe acts/conditions and ensure corrective & preventive actions are implemented.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare RCA and closure reports.
• Ensure proper usage of PPE and implementation of work-at-height safety practices.
• Maintain EHS documentation, reports, safety records, and compliance registers.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and client representatives on EHS matters.
• Monitor environmental compliance including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices.
• Support implementation of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards at project sites.
• Ensure emergency preparedness and response systems are effectively maintained.
