Senior Engineer - Finishes

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Finishing Engineer with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in finishing works for high-rise residential or industrial construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, and executing all finishing activities while ensuring quality, safety, timelines, and project specifications are strictly followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute finishing activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Manage finishing works including blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, tiling, painting, false ceiling, gypsum works, doors, windows, façade-related works, joinery, and other architectural finishes.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, architects, MEP teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Review and interpret architectural, structural, and finishing drawings, BOQs, specifications, and approved material samples.
• Ensure all finishing works are executed according to approved method statements, ITPs, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Monitor daily progress and ensure activities are completed as per the planned schedule.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and highlight delays, constraints, and corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections with the QA/QC team and coordinate closure of snags, punch points, and NCRs.
• Ensure proper sequencing and coordination between civil, architectural, MEP, and finishing activities.
• Check material requirements and coordinate with the procurement/stores team to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Control wastage and ensure optimum utilization of manpower and materials.
• Supervise subcontractor manpower and maintain productivity and workmanship standards.
• Ensure mock-ups and sample approvals are completed before mass execution.
• Coordinate room-by-room / floor-by-floor finishing activities and handover to the client/consultant.
• Maintain records of inspections, approvals, measurements, material consumption, and work progress.
• Identify site issues and provide practical technical solutions to maintain project progress.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and safe working practices.
• Support project handover, final snagging, rectification, and completion activities.

• Internal and external plastering
• Blockwork and masonry finishing
• Waterproofing and water-retention tests
• Floor and wall tiling
• Marble/granite/stone works
• Internal and external painting
• Gypsum/false ceiling works
• Doors, windows, and architectural hardware
• Joinery and carpentry works
• Façade and external finishing coordination
• Toilet and wet-area finishes
• Landscape/architectural external works, where applicable
• Snagging, rectification, and final handover

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in finishing/architectural works.
• Strong experience in high-rise residential or industrial construction projects.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, finishing materials, specifications, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and finishing drawings.
