About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and analytical engineering professional to join our Corporate Strategy team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy and operations, driving high-impact initiatives across our Formulations manufacturing plant in Ankleshwar.
As part of the Corporate Strategy function, you will partner closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, solve complex operational challenges, and translate strategic priorities into actionable execution plans. You will lead transformation initiatives spanning manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering, and compliance, while enabling data-driven decision-making and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
This is a high-visibility role that provides direct exposure to senior leadership and offers the opportunity to influence plant performance, productivity, cost optimisation, quality excellence, and long-term operational transformation.
The role will be based at our manufacturing facility in Ankleshwar, Gujarat.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with plant leadership to drive strategic and operational initiatives that improve manufacturing performance, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional coordination across Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, EHS, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic priorities and critical business projects.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities through data analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement, and drive implementation of sustainable solutions.
- Lead process simplification, digital transformation, and operational excellence initiatives to improve productivity, throughput, cycle times, and overall plant effectiveness.
- Drive strategic transformation programmes, including productivity enhancement, cost optimisation, capacity improvement, Project Leap initiatives, and other enterprise-wide improvement programmes.
- Track and monitor key strategic initiatives through structured governance, ensuring timely execution, risk mitigation, and achievement of business objectives.
- Develop performance dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting frameworks to enable data-driven decision-making and enhance operational visibility.
- Conduct business analyses, evaluate operational and financial performance, and provide actionable insights to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Prepare executive presentations, management reviews, business cases, and decision-support materials for senior leadership and executive committees.
- Facilitate governance forums, project reviews, and cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders, resolve bottlenecks, and accelerate execution.
- Benchmark internal performance against industry best practices and identify opportunities to strengthen operational capabilities and competitiveness.
- Support annual business planning, strategic reviews, and long-term transformation roadmaps for the Ankleshwar site.
Who Should Apply
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical/Pharmaceutical/Mechanical Engineering (or related).
- 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing operations, project management, supply chain, process excellence, consulting, or business transformation roles. (MBA or postgraduate qualification in Management/Operations is preferred.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools; familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
