Position Overview

KEC International Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Projects to lead the execution of utility-scale wind power projects at our Bhuj, Gujarat site. The role will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, ensuring timely completion of civil, electrical, and mechanical works while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and cost control. The incumbent will lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, OEMs, consultants, and clients to achieve successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of utility-scale wind power projects from site mobilization to commissioning and project handover.
• Prepare and monitor project execution plans, schedules, milestones, and resource deployment to ensure timely project completion.
• Oversee civil, electrical, and mechanical construction activities including foundations, crane pads, internal roads, WTG erection, electrical infrastructure, and commissioning.
• Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify execution bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, logistics, commercial, and finance teams for seamless project execution.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, technical specifications, statutory regulations, and company standards.
• Drive project cost control by monitoring budgets, resource utilization, contractor bills, and project expenditures.
• Review and approve project schedules, DPRs, MIS reports, progress dashboards, and management reports.
• Coordinate with transmission utilities, government authorities, DISCOMs, CEIG, and regulatory agencies for statutory approvals and project clearances.
• Ensure timely availability of project materials, heavy equipment, cranes, and critical resources.
• Lead site review meetings with clients, consultants, and senior management to discuss project progress and mitigation plans.
• Ensure strict implementation of HSE policies, quality assurance plans, and statutory safety requirements at site.
• Manage project risks, resolve technical and commercial issues, and support decision-making to ensure uninterrupted execution.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, synchronization, and final handover of wind power projects to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team.
• Mentor and develop project teams by providing technical guidance and performance coaching.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in utility-scale Wind Power Projects, with significant exposure to project execution and site management.
• Strong knowledge of WTG erection, transmission lines, substations, electrical systems, BoP works, commissioning, and project lifecycle management.
• Experience in managing EPC contractors, project planning, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, AutoCAD, and MS Office will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work at project sites in Bhuj, Gujarat.
