About Cables Business:

KEC is one of the leading manufacturers of power and telecom cables in India. It has two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Vadodara (Gujarat) and Mysore (Karnataka). The manufacturing facilities are accredited with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications.

The Company has a capacity to manufacture around 40,000 KM per annum of power cables, 3600 KM per annum of instrumentation cables, 6 lakh core KM per annum of jelly filled (copper) telecom cables, 6 lakh fibre KM of optical fibre cables, 4000 MTs of Railway Contact Wire and 2000 MTs of Railway Catenary Wire.

JOB DUTIES

Job Summary:

 

Key Accountabilities

  • In charge of EHV/HT Electrical  Cable testing,  complete Operation of PD, impulse , Ten delta and heating cycle test and  Handling Customer Inspections.
  • Analysis, Corrective and Preventive actions for non-conformity observed during Process failure of   HT /EHV , cables .
  • Handling Customer complaints at site , root cause and its prevention and customer satisfaction   .
  • Demo presentation/awareness training for Joint and termination of cable at site and Engineers, precaution to avoid joint failure at site.
  • Proper maintenance of Electrical testing equipment to avoid failure and troubling shooting.    
  • Ensure systematic problem-solving techniques are institutionalized.
  • Effective communication between the sales team and customers where required
